Exemplary achievements to be presented at the National Congress

Strengthening the system of Marine and Coastal Protected Areas of Turkey Project will be presented at the 9th National Congress on Turkish Marine and Coastal Zones 2012 in Hatay.
The significant achievements of the Project regarding efficiency, capacity building, and economic valuation of ecosystem services, permits and enterprises of the public land use at SEPAs will be introduced at the special session chaired by Mr. Osman Iyimaya, the General Director of Protection of Natural Assets of the Environment and Urbanization Ministry.
The National Congress on Turkish Marine and Coastal Zones will be held in Antakya (Hatay-Turkey) for the dates of November 14-17, 2012 by the partnership of Turkish National Committee of Coastal Zone Management, Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and Mustafa Kemal University. Strengthening the System of Marine and Coastal Protected Areas of Turkey Project will be discussed at a special session chaired by Mr. Osman Iyimaya, the General Director for Protection of Natural Assets of the Environment and Urbanization Ministry.
Activities of 4 significant areas to be introduced
The session will introduce the activities within the scope of “efficiency at conservation”, “capacity building”, “economic valuation of ecosystem services” and “permits and enterprises of the public land use at SEPAs”. Project officers will deliver presentations on the project activities and the achievements while making it clear that strict and disciplined working method matters in success. The session is on Wednesday (November 14, 2012).
