Fisherwomen gives full support to the "Women Fisher Project" carried out by Mediterranean Protection Association
70 fisherwomen, who are active in the field, were reached in Datça-Bozburun Special Environmental Protection Area (SEPA) by the project. They were interviewed face to face and their requirements were identified. They mentioned that “this is the first time that they are taken into consideration by an institution and they will support the activities under the context of the project”.
It is also observed that the activities gained support from the local residents too.
International support
Along with the field work, the activities via the project’s internet site continue.

In this context, the contacts are being made with international fisherwomen NGOs and fisherwomen cooperatives and international support is being provided for the fisherwomen.
