Foça’s Fishermen Keep on Supporting Foça Festival

Foça’s fishermen, celebrated the 8. International Foça Culture, Arts and Fisheries Festival between 11 and 15 September 2013. Foça Fisheries Cooperative organized last day of the festival. In this context, fishermen gave information to the visitors about fishing activities in Foça, and participated to competitions including fishing boat races, fastest netting and amateur fishing. Besides concerts, dance shows, conferences performed in Foça center and its villages.
The festival organized by Foça Municipality, Foça Craftsman’s Association and Foça Fisheries Cooperative.
The interviews, concerts, torchlight processions, dance performances and contests was held with the following themes: olives, agriculture, animal husbandry, cooperatives that are important to Foça. In addition to these, the Municpaility of Foça manded the fishing boats of the fishermen in need of help.
